Disbursement and posting integrity review
Origination is not finished when a letter is printed. Money leaves the institution through a disbursement path that the application either controls or merely records. This review follows a sample from final approval to the posting that the finance team will later recognise.
The path we walk
Final approval, any cooling-off or documentation hold, disbursement instruction, dual control, payee details, and the reference that should appear in the general ledger or the core posting report. We look for files that were disbursed while a hold was still open, and for payee changes after approval.
Where this usually sits
Retail banks, development financial institutions, and licensed lenders in the Klang Valley often split origination and core accounting. The gap between those two records is a financial-audit issue, even when both applications “work”. We write findings in that language.
Deliverable
A posting-integrity findings paper, a short cut-over observation if a migration is in flight, and a list of files in the sample that could not be tied out. Unmatched files are not padded with assumptions; they are listed as unresolved.
