Origination control audit
This engagement looks at the origination application as a financial-control environment, not as a product demonstration. We sample live and closed files, trace each status change, and test whether the record in the application matches the paper or imaged evidence the lender relies on.
What we examine
Intake completeness, identity and income evidence attached to the file, routing between credit, operations, and any referral desk, offer generation, customer-facing letters, and the point at which a file is marked booked. For Islamic products we also trace the sequence of contractual steps the application is supposed to enforce before disbursement is allowed.
How the work is done
Fieldwork is usually a mix of on-site file review in Shah Alam or at the lender’s operations floor, and remote inspection of exported logs. We agree a sample with the internal audit or credit-risk owner before we start. Findings are written against the control, the file, and the money impact — not against a software vendor’s release notes.
What you receive
A control map of the origination path, a findings report ranked by financial and customer-impact, and a management letter that can be tabled with the audit committee. Fees shown are indicative for a single retail origination application and a standard sample. Multi-product books and parallel Islamic and conventional flows are scoped separately.
